Photobase: A dedicated software for the production and programming of single- or multi-technology badges, passes, and access credentials

PhotoBase is a fully web-based application designed to optimise the autonomous management of company credential production and encoding processes. The solution ensures complete integration with third-party hardware devices, from printers to encoders, for a seamless, unified, and rapid production and encoding process. That includes handling large batches, managing complex layouts, and ensuring the immediate usability of produced credentials.

Workflow
optimisation

Thanks to the integration of PhotoBase with the SCS Security Core System software, the system automatically receives registry alignment notifications, displaying them in the operator’s to-do list. These lists include new registrations or changes to information that require reprinting or recoding of badges, ensuring that any changes are handled promptly. The operator is updated on new items on the list, having a clear and complete view of the tasks to be completed, which facilitates the management of daily activities.

This system offers numerous advantages, including workflow optimisation and error reduction. It prevents requests from arriving through other communication channels, avoiding the double badges reprinting due to duplicate requests, thereby enhancing company security through accurate and immediate management of visitor and staff information.

Coding technology

Flexibility
and security

The system allows you to program and perform single and multiple encoding of credentials with different technologies, such as iCLASS, MIFARE Classic, and MIFARE DESfire. That enables the definition of which information to store in the tags and how to organise their production. For complex tags, it is possible to specify the keys required for reading and writing, configure the access policies for individual sectors and blocks, and customise the information to be encoded along with the encryption characteristics of the communication to and from the card and the information contained within.

Additionally, advanced functionality is available for exporting and importing configured encoding templates, making credential management even more flexible and secure.

Mobile Access: technology to support the management of access credentials

Integration
and versatility

Access credentials can also be managed from a smartphone or tablet thanks to Mobile Access. This solution allows for the use of mobile devices to open doors, gates, and turnstiles. This functionality is made possible by the HID-certified integration between the SCS – Security Core System Identity Management platform and the ORIGO HID portal, which manages credentials. Mobile Access supports Bluetooth and NFC on different mobile devices running iOS and Android.
